Flexural testing, also known as a bend test (commonly used in 3 and 4-point configurations), is a material testing technique used to determine the mechanical properties of a material, particularly its strength and stiffness when subjected to bending or flexural forces. This type of testing is commonly performed on materials like metals, plastics, composites, ceramics, and construction materials such as concrete and wood.

Various properties can be determined by this test including flexural strength, flexural modulus, deflection, and flexural strain.

We also sell test stands, load cells, and force gauges to use with our grips and fixtures.

Connections on our grips and fixtures have a female eye end with a 5/8" or 1.25" diameter. This is the standard size for Lloyd Instruments, Chatillon, and Mark-10 products. Adapters are available to mount these grips to any brand including Instron, MTS, Zwick, Shimpo, and more.
