Description

Self-aligning compression plates are designed to adjust to angular displacement of the material being tested. These plates can also be set to a fixed position by tightening the nuts.

Self-aligning platens are designed for compression testing materials with uneven surfaces, variable load distribution, and angular misalignment between surfaces. These platens adapt to the changes in non-uniform loading.

Common materials self-aligning platens are used for testing; rubber, plastics, heavy duty springs, building products, composites and ceramics.

This compression plate features a 5/8" integrated eye end, the standard eye end size for Lloyd Instruments, Chatillon, and Mark-10 products. Furthermore, Adapters are available to mount these compression plates on any brand of test stand, load cell, or force gauge.
